For a scrap processing yard in the Philippines, the challenge was not simply collecting more metal. Loose scrap occupied valuable yard space, made material handling less convenient, and complicated preparation for the next shipment.
The yard needed a way to turn suitable loose scrap into more manageable bales without building a large new processing line. We supplied a Y83-125 hydraulic scrap metal baler for this stage of its operation.
Scrap arriving at a processing yard is rarely uniform. Pieces of different shapes and sizes must be sorted before they can be stored or moved efficiently. When suitable material remains loose, it can spread across the working area and require repeated handling during loading.
The customer wanted to organize this material more effectively while working within the space available at its yard.
| Item | Y83-125 Specification |
|---|---|
| Equipment | Hydraulic scrap metal baler |
| Chamber size | 1200 × 700 × 600 mm |
| Motor power | 18.5 kW |
The Y83-125 gives operators a defined chamber for loading sorted, suitable scrap and compressing it into bales. Its chamber dimensions were a key consideration for the customer’s yard layout and the material they planned to process.
The aim was to improve the way scrap moved through the yard. By baling suitable material after sorting, the team could prepare it for stacking, handling and shipment in a more orderly form.
Material size and composition still matter: oversized, exceptionally hard or unsuitable pieces should be assessed separately before loading. Our engineers reviewed the customer’s intended application so the baler could be matched to the work it was expected to do.
